January 1, 1938 in Lajas, Puerto Rico. Migrated to New York City June 16, 1954. Graduated from Immaculata High School in 1955. Attended Saint Joseph Seraphic Seminary until 1957. Spent the next three years with the US Marine Corps. Got discharged in 1960 and attended Hunter College of the City of New York, from which I graduated in 1962. Joined Banco Popular of Puerto Rico and worked there until 1965, when I joined the New York State Banking Department. I retired in 2000.".
